What are you looking for?
1. About the app:
What is Addapp?
We're a free iPhone application that will give you insight into your well-being and help you improve factors like sleep, nutrition, fitness and mood.
When you connect your wearables and apps to Addapp, we will analyze your data and give you daily, actionable insights and tips how to improve your sleep, activity, nutrition and overall well-being.
We connect with a lot of services like Apple Health, Fitbit, Jawbone, Misfit, Runkeeper and MapMyFitness. Check out the whole list here.
How is Addapp different than the apps offered by Fitbit, Jawbone, Runkeeper, etc.
1. We analyze all your data across services, not just the data collected by one app or device.
2. We steer away from difficult-to-read graphs and stats. Instead, we serve you easy-to-understand and actionable insights (with easy-to-read graphs!). We interpret the data for you and deliver it to you in a way that you'll understand.
Which services does Addapp integrate with?
Addapp connects with the following apps: Apple Health, Argus, Basis peak, Beddit, Bodymedia, Endomondo, Fatsecret, Fitbit, Garmin Connect Mobile, Get Moving, Human, iHealth, Instant Heart Rate, Jawbone, Magellan GPS, Mapmyrun, Misfit, Moves, MyFitnessPal, Nike+ Running, Pillow, Polar, Runkeeper, Runtastic, Sleep Cycle, Sleep Cycle Heart Rate, Strava, Swarm by Foursquare, Uber, Under Armour, Withings, Xiaomi Mi-Fit and Zova.
Can I use Addapp on my desktop?
No. We focus entirely on our app and making that one kick-ass, so we don't offer a web app.
Do you have an Android App?
At the moment we’re focussed on iOS. However, we’re looking to develop an Android app in the not-to-distant future.
- Do I have to pay for Addapp?
Can children use Addapp?
Do you need an Apple Watch to use Addapp?
No. we're not all fancy pants with an Apple Watch, so you can use Addapp without one. If you do happen to have one and you send your data to Apple Health, you can connect your Apple Health to Addapp and we'll use your Watch data for your insights.
2. My Account:
Do I need to create an account to use Addapp?
No. You know that feeling of being pushed into a relationship? We don't like that either. So you can use Addapp without having to create an account and leaving your name, e-mail address and other personal things. You can connect your services to Addapp just like that. No strings attached. That's how we like it too. (You can always create an account later if you're into the relationship!)
I signed up without an account, if I create an account will I lose my insights?
No. We'll store all your insights for you, and you'll see them in the app after creating your account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to the settings of Addapp (left corner of the screen) > click on your name > scroll down > delete account
Are you really sure you want to break up with us? By deleting your account, you erase all data and insights that we offered you. You can reinstall at any time, but we'll need time again to process your data.
3. Connecting & disconnecting apps:
How do I connect my apps and wearables?
Click on the Settings button in the left corner of the app. > Click on Services > Connect your services. You'll be directed to the log-in pages of the services where you need to give their respective login credentials.
Why do you recommend to connect Apple Health?
1. Apple Health can track your steps (depending on your iOS & device) without the need of other apps. We can use that data in our app.
2. We can get a lot more data through Apple Health, especially from apps that we can't integrate with directly. If you connect your apps to Apple Health and give us access to read the data, we can use your data for your personal Addapp insights.
How do I connect apps to Apple Health?
A lot of apps and wearables connect to Apple Health, where we can read that data for Addapp insights with your permission.
To connect apps to Apple Health, open Apple Health > Sources > click on your preferred apps > make sure all sliders are green.
MyFitnessPal, Nike+, Garmin, Polar... I can't find a service in the app!
We connect with a lot of apps through Apple Health. If you can't find an app in the list of connected services in our app, add it to Apple Health.
Add apps to Apple Health
Open Apple Health > Sources > click on the service > make all the sliders green

How to connect MapMyFitness, MapMyWalk, MapMyRide, MapMyWalk, MapMyRun or MapMyHike to Addapp
Open "Settings" in Addapp by clicking on the button in the upper left corner of the app. Go to "Services" and click on the Under Armour button. (All the apps listed above belong to the Under Armour family.) With one click, you are able to log in to all the apps in the Under Armour family. If you have one account across several Under Armour applications, you can use that one set of login details in Addapp, and then you will have access to the data of all of those apps.
If you use several Under Armour apps with different accounts and login details, you need to choose which account you want to connect with. Then, Addapp will only have access to the Under Armour application that yo have linked to.
We do not integrate directly with MyFitnessPal or Endomondo yet. You can connect those through Apple Health. Here is how you can do so.
If I connect wearables and apps to Addapp, does that affect the data in the other apps?
No. We don't change or write data to your other apps. We just analyze the data for your Addapp insights.
I can't connect & login to Fitbit
If you sign in on the Fitbit website with your Facebook or Google password & username, you need to enter those details in the Addapp screen you see when you want to connect Fitbit. You can't connect Fitbit with your Addapp login details.
How do I disconnect a service from Addapp
To remove a service from Addapp, click on the Settings button within Addapp, select Services and swipe right on the service you want to disconnect.
Do you store data/insights if I disconnect a service?
When you disconnect a service from Addapp, all your data relating to that service will be removed and we’ll no longer have access to your data.
- I want to suggest a new service
4. Insights & data:
What is an insight?
An insight harnesses data from your apps and wearables to give you more context to your latest activity, sleep patterns, nutrition, weight and other well-being components. Insights can draw from one piece of data, say around sleep, and can also dive into relationships between your data, like sleep and running. Each day, two personalized insights will be delivered to your phone.
Who can see my insights?
Insights are personal, meaning only you see them. If you choose to, you can share your individual insights on social networks like Facebook and Twitter, which means your friends and followers will be able to see the insight you’ve shared.
How many insights will I get daily?
We'll send you two insights each day. If you turn on the push noticications, you'll be notified when your insights are ready.
How do I turn on/off push notifications for new insights?
Open your iPhone Settings > Notifications > Addapp. You can change the notifications there.
Why don't I see personalized insights?
If you just signed up and connected services: we need some time to process your data. If you have enough data to give you personalized insights, they should show up after 24 hours.
If you didn't connect services: we're all about data analysis and spotting patterns in your data; If we don't have data, it's hard to use it. So go ahead and feed us some data!
If you have more than 2 services connected and signed up some time ago: we might not have enough data or something might be going wrong. Get in touch with us!
I use a service, like Fitbit Charge HR, that tracks my heart rate, so why don't I get heart rate insights?
Fitbit: Fitbit doesn't allow us to read heart rate data from your Charge HR, so we don't know your heart rate and therefore can't give you insights based on it. Using heart rate data from Fitbit is high on our wish list, but unfortunately we don't have control over this. You would help us if you asked Fitbit here to open up their heart rate data.
Apple Health: Apple doesn't share heart rate data with us either. Unfortunately we can't give you heart rate insights based on Apple Health (yet).
I just signed up and no insights are coming through. What's up?
When you first connect a new wearable or app with Addapp, we need some time to process your data. Only after 24 hours will you get insights based on that data.
I use several services to track something. Can I choose which service Addapp needs to use?
You can tell us in Settings > Metrics which service we pull your data from.
If I track something with several connected services, do you count the data twice?
No, We're smarter than that! In the Settings > Metrics you can choose which service to use. We'll only use that data and not the data of the services combined.
How often is my data updated?
When you connect a service, we update your data every day.
To do this, though, we need you to regularly sync your data with the app you are integrating with Addapp. For example, if you have connected Fitbit with Addapp, we will only update your Fitbit data if you have synched your Fitbit device with the Fitbit web or mobile app.
Can I export all my data?
You can’t export all your data via our mobile app. Soon, though we'll introduce a feature that will allow this. In the meantime, we would be more than happy to provide you with a CSV export of all your data. All you need to do is send us an email and we'll take care of this.
- Does Addapp sell my data?
Do you have an API or developer documents?
We believe in an Open API world. It's only natural to us as we partner with services that have an open API. At the moment, though, we don't have an API, but you can expect one very soon. We will announce this via our social media channels but also via a personal e-mail to you when we implement it.
Who’s the team behind Addapp?
Who are the awesome people behind Addapp? (Yes, we just wrote that.)
Which wearable do I need to get?
We have tried out a lot of wearables, and we know a lot about them. That's why we created the Wearable Buyers Guide. Check it out!
Can I stop by your office?
We'd love that! You can always drop in at 645 Harrisonstreet Suite 200, 94107 San Francisco. Because we're always working, an e-mail beforehand would be handy, though!
Are you robots?
We wish we were (so we would finally have some cool, impressive dance moves), but unfortunately we're not. We're very human. You can experience it if you e-mail us.
Is your CEO really replying to all e-mails?
Yep, he is. Try it!
